Flower arrangement workshop with Bloom & Wild

There’s something special about having flowers at home. There’s something even more impressive when you have the confidence to go out to a flower market like the famous Columbia Road Market and pick up some flowers to take home. Have you ever been in the position though, that you get home with your lovely flowers and then you are stuck on how to arrange them like how you so often see them arranged in the shops? Well, that was the dilemma that I found myself in so being able to go to a Bloom & Wild flower arrangement workshop was a gift.

Bloom & Wild changed the way we get flowers delivered. They send them to you or whoever is the lucky recipient, carefully packaged individually whilst most of them are still in bud and are delivered through your letterbox. J’s mum said, “Those were the best flowers ever to be delivered”. After getting a few more bouquets delivered to me, I decided I wanted to know how to make them look nice and pretty like on their website, and that’s how I came about finding the flower arrangement workshop. This is also an excellent idea for a gift or something to do as a hen activity

You get a glass of bubbly(my favourite part) and a selection of flowers which will be used to make the bouquet. The lead florist tells you about the flowers that will make up your bouquet and what they add to it, for example, structure or scent.

After which we were let loose on making our own. It was great fun because you got to think about the way that you were holding the flowers - being careful not to damage but also having the creative mind to think of how you want them to look based on final placement. I must admit it took me a few tries before I was happy with it.

I enjoyed this experience because, in that short time, I learnt a few more things about flowers which I perhaps hadn’t thought of. I highly recommend it to anything which is thinking of a gift or even something nice to do with your friend or mum :)
