Cardiff

I went to Cardiff with my friend to see how it was like. None of us had been there before, nor had travelled together so it was an interesting experience. The train journey there was smooth...mind you the train itself was really packed but we got good seats and we were off. I loved the train station. It was interesting to see two signs everywhere. I'm guessing the other language was Welsh. Even the announcements were first in Welsh then in English. Sadly I didn't manage to get any shots of the train station. I just really wanted to go to sleep.

The next day we typed around the idea of going on a hop on hop off bus. I've been on one once in London, when I was still  new in the area and it was great...but we kept missing the buses so we decided to just walk and see where we end up.

We saw the Cardiff Castle first. Then we made our way to Bute Park where we found a water boat that would take us to Cardiff Bay and that's where we spent the rest of the day. It was fun and interesting to see the different places they have there. My favourite place was the Pierhead which is in the middle of town. This is a building where concerns are voiced and there's a real sense of community in the area. Currently they are showing an exhibit on child exploitation. If you are around the area, go and give it a try.
